Siege Tower (Part 2)

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

See Part 1 here.

Much progress has been made on the siege tower and a little progress to the idea of having a full on siege battle finally happen.  I recently added 2 additional walls of the Warhammer Fortress to the set, this allows me to have a few extra configurations and cover enough of a table edge, at least for as much as I’m looking for.  I’m going to build this siege tower, a battering ram, some manlets and a few other misc items and then sit down and pain the whole deal at once…at least that’s my plan.

While the building may be done, I’ve got some additional bits I’m going to use to help hide some seams and make it have a bit of character. Other than that, it’s more or less ready to be painted and prepped for the battle field and a grand siege.

Terrain Night – Ship Board Update

Monday, June 27th, 2011

Quick update on this, but much progress is being made on the ship.  All of the planking is complete and work is being done on the Iron sides.  A combination of tag board and push pins offer up a cobbled together steel hull to our ship.

Terrain Night Returns, or how we might actually finish the Ship Board

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

Inspiration has struck, a project that has been shelved for some time is now being actively worked on with the goal of completion!  The bug has bitten a couple of us and we have been actively working on miniatures and terrain with the hopes of playing Kings of War for large scale fights, and Song of Blades and Hero’s for skirmishes.  Some of the idea’s we are tossing around involve Ships and sieges.  So, this post is simple and quick, but progress is being made towards completing of the two ships (see links below to the old ship posts).  The planking has come along nicely so far, I can’t wait to see what it looks like with a proper paint job!
